    American Rivers is a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring rivers nationwide. Founded over 25 years ago in a dusty Denver office, today we have offices in Washington, DC and across the country.

    Salmon Forever is a non-profit organization whose goal is to conduct research on issues pertaining to watersheds and salmon; to promote the importance of watershed health; and to educate citizens so they can effectively participate in public decision-making that affects the communities and watersheds in which they live.

    River Network's Mission is to help people understand, protect and restore rivers and their watersheds. We envision a nation whose rivers are cared for by those who use them and live in their watershed. Our constituency is comprised of grassroots river and watershed conservation organizations, public agencies, tribal governments and coalitions, and other working to save freshwater ecosystems.

    SYRCL is founded on the premise that people can save a river.
    The South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL – pronounced circle) was founded in 1983 by grassroots activists determined to protect the South Yuba River from dams. Ultimately, SYRCL won permanent protections for 39 miles of the South Yuba River under California’s Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.
