As an outdoor enthusiast I was drawn to the Truckee Tahoe area for the outstanding skiing. However, I found a bonus in the excellent fly fishing for wild Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout in the Truckee River. During the winter months, I am a full-time Professional Ski Patroller. During the summer, I am a fully addicted fly fishing nut.

It is my goal to provide a safe, fun, and informative fly fishing experience for my clients. Along with my avalanche rescue dog, Shooter, I welcome the opportunity to share my passion for fly fishing with anyone from the beginner to the seasoned veteran. Women and children are encouraged. The group size is limited to four persons per guide.

* We are licensed to guide Pyramid Lake, and the Truckee River in both California and Nevada. Dave Stanley also holds special use permits for the Little Truckee River and for Davis Lk. and Frenchman Reservoir.

My name is Clay Hash. I am a fly fishing guide and educator.
I understand the importance of providing a quality educational experience for those looking to get into the sport of fly fishing or for those that want to take their existing skills to a new level. I offer a wide variety of educational opportunities for most everyone no matter what your experience level; from floating clinics in my drift boat or personalized lessons.

Guy Jeans, owner/guide/instructor , is a Certified Casting Instructor with the International Federation of Fly Fishers. He guides, lectures and teaches over 250 days a year all over the Southern Sierra, Sequoia National Forest , Golden Trout Wilderness, Domeland Wilderness and South Sierra Wilderness. He also guides and teaches "Fly Fishing in the Surf" classes along the California coastline. He is an "Elite Pro Staff " member and instructor for Redington. In 2012, Guy received the "Lee Wulff Award" from the International Federation of Fly Fishers.

Pyramid Lake is one of the most popular stillwater fly fishing destinations in the world. Huge Lahontan Cutthroat Trout roam its waters and anglers come from all over in pursuit of these giants. Being “Home of the World’s Largest Cutthroat Trout” adds to Pyramid’s popularity. Trout in the 10 – 15 pound class are abundant and it is possible to catch a fish over 20 pounds. The average size Cutthroat is also outstanding at 20 – 22 inches. This puts Pyramid Lake on many angler’s “Bucket List” of places to fish.
