Welcome to my web site. My name is Jay Murakoshi, owner of Baja Fly Fishing Adventures dba Flies Unlimited. I have spent the last 40 years in the fly fishing industry tying flies commercially and hosting fly fishing trips to a lot of tropical destinations. Our speciality is salt water fly fishing and have dedicated over 3 decades in the exploration of such places like Baja California Sur, Honduras, Guatamala, Australia and the California surf zone. We have been hosting weekly trips in Baja for the last 25 years. We have also ventured to Australia for a wide variety of species not found in any other waters. When we’re not on the road, we spend a lot of time searching the waters for warm water species like the large mouth bass, stripe bass, blue gills and even carp.

The Weekly Fly is a side project for us and is our effort to provide high quality, useful, and FREE fly tying videos. We are dedicated to expanding our library of both quality flies and quality fly tiers.

Welcome to Fly Tying 123! Whether its tying a tried and true classic, or creating a new work of art, you’ve come to the right place. Creativity, durability, and catchability are our focus with the flies we tie. One of our simplest goals is to tie the flies that catch the most fish. This site is a little nymph heavy for sure, but we figure that trout focus 95% of their feeding under the water’s surface, so we figured we would follow suit with out content. We are just a couple of addicted fly fishermen who love to tie our own flies. We are always searching for new patterns and new materials to bring to the tying bench.
